HOORAY! I made a beaded cube with holes! :w00t: Another challenge accomplished! :D I had several goals of making various beaded objects as stars, strawberries, cubes and balls, and this was the last stage I resolved to beat. Of course this is not the ultimate end, but at least one part of my goals is fulfilled. I hope you understand my clumsy explanation...

Anyway, to this object: only the big one is new. (You could have seen the small cube here already: [link]) I chose the rainbow multicolour beads for this task. Only after finishing it I remembered my smaller cube of the same beads and wondered how big it is and if it fits in - and it did! So I made a set of them, and they are fun to play with.

Pic on the right: sometimes it looks like one big beaded cube, but it is again both together (the walls of both are in one level). Just from one side though. :)

This way I entertain myself now... :D

There is no other reason why I made it, except that I wanted to prove myself I can do it. Coz it was not easy to make (at the beginning I thought it was).. (j/k) well, in fact it was just time consuming. Surprisingly, I didn't even mess it up. :D Towards the end it gets a bit confusing, as the sides get in the way all the time. XD

Size: big cube - 2 cm, small one - 1 cm (0.78 and 0.4 in)
Time to make: 4-5 hours
Made of glass beads on nylon.

I might make some more in future, it didn't disgust me. :D

I am playing around with beaded shapes at the moment but mine are only 2D! I have done cubes but only by beading round a square bead! :)

jé, víš co mě ještě napadá? ja na to momentálně vůbec nemám naladu ani čas něco tvořit, mám rozdělané z korálků pro přítele auto... ale co udělat hodně velkou kostku z rokajlu, a dovnitř dát pár obyčejných skleněných perlí? aby to chrastilo? ... :) jen záchvat tvořivosti.
