It was a weird dream. They gave me a gun.
“Kill her.”
I stared at the man with disbelief and fear. The gun was heavy I could hardly lift it, not to mention aim with it. However, I felt so weak because I knew the end was near, no matter what I'd do.
“Kill her and we might let you go,” he said.
I looked at her terrified face...
“Quickly!” barked one of the soldiers, “or you will suffer a long and painful death!”
There was no escape. I knew they wouldn't spare me if I shot her... but even if they did, how could I live a life knowing I killed somebody so precious to my heart? For a second I thought about turning the gun against the man... it wouldn't solve much, we were surrounded by them. I read about such a situation in a book, but still felt that wouldn't be right either... I have no right to take anybody's life...
“I won't,” I said and tossed the gun on the ground. There was laughter from the crowd.
“She won't! Playing brave, hahaha!”
My head became somewhat clearer. “I'm not going to obey some ungodly people like you, I'm going to obey my God who said “You shall not kill”, and who died for me!”
“Your god can't do anything for you now,” sneered one of the men. “It's useless! You know what will happen now? You will watch your friend die!” he shouted at me.
I looked at her again, her face was pale with fear.
“If you cared about your friend, you would shoot her so she wouldn't have to suffer from us, you fool,” another one told me. “What good did you do to her, heh?”
There was a short pause.
“I gave her time,” I replied, “time that she needs to realize and accept the fact that can really save her,” and I turned my eyes to her again. “The fact that Jesus Christ died for us and he can save our souls after we die if we regret everything bad we did against God, the greatest good.”
I didn't hear the roaring laughter from the men... I was happy I was able to tell her this all and suddenly felt calmer. “We are going to die anyway,” I continued. “You can destroy our bodies, but you will never get our souls!”
“Enough,” shouted their leader. “Let's finish this...”
“Please, make use of my gift,” I turned to her. There was still horror in the ruby eyes but also a sparkle of hope... maybe...? “See you on the other side,” I said as they took me away from her.

If somebody you really loved was suffering immensely, beyond any cure or painkiller, going almost crazy because of it, and he or she begged you to do stop it. would you let the suffering go on?
I don't say I'd do something like that easily, but please, thry to stay open minded and try to understand that it NEVER is black or white.
The bible says 'not to kill', I agree, but that's not killing!
